Edmonton Classical Academy Eastgate Fundraising Society primary purpose is to provide means for parents and community members to bring additional financial resources to support and enhance student learning at Edmonton Classical Academy Eastgate Campus.

The main role is fundraising.

Fundraising Societies are responsible for reporting on their activities and fall within the statutes of the Societies Act, Alberta Corporate Registry and Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.

Edmonton Classical Academy Eastgate Fundraising Society’s inception date was November 1st, 2023.

This Society is not mandated to exist, nor did it exist prior to this date.

Founding Members currently preside as Officers on the Executive Board of Directors since inception. These members founded our bylaws, purpose, goals, directives, and incorporation.

In Accordance with the Alberta Societies Act: “Five or more persons may become incorporated under this Act for any benevolent, philanthropic, charitable, provident, scientific, artistic, literary, social, educational, agricultural, sporting, or other useful purpose, but not for the purpose of carrying on a trade or business.”  No election of officers is required to constitute the first board of directors.

We are not a registered charity and cannot issue Charitable Tax Receipts. We are an incorporated not for profit and may accept donations, raise funds, and distribute funds in accordance with our bylaws and as regulated by the Alberta Societies Act.

As a Society we are legally required to report directly to our own Board, our members at our Annual General Meeting and in annual reports to Alberta Corporate Registries and AGLC.
